Dole on comm. college memo

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole has weighed in on the community college flap.

On her Web site, the Salisbury Republican released a brief statement on the recent decision to allow state community colleges to admit illegal immigrants:

Record numbers of North Carolinians are depending on our community college system for job training and further education, and it doesn't make sense for a person here illegally to be given an admission slot that could otherwise be filled by a citizen.

How many North Carolinians are denied admission to our community colleges? My guess is that it's a number that's less than 1.
