What political affiliation is Judge Dever?
Go ahead and sentence Black PLEEZE!! NC has suffered under the 'most corrupt man in NC' for FAR TOO LONG !!
Strive to be smarter than a democrackkk!
Judge Dever should not recuse himself. Speaker Black is only the tip of the
corruption "iceberg" in the legislative and executive branches of N C State Government. I know. I've served in both.

Judge Deever should recuse himself and if he doesn't he should be removed! He is looking for ways to punish Jim Black beyond the sentencing guidelines which is rediculous. Black is a kind man who has done far more good for the people of North Carolina than harm. He has already been punished more than prison. Community Service would be far more beneficial to the citizens of N.C. Unless, of course, the Courts want to make an example of him?? Prisons are for those who are a danger to society and if he is a danger you may have to build a fence around the Leg. Bldg.
Re: Black sentencing delayed
So have I! You're right about the iceberg" but there are other Judges who have not been so closely involved with the Legislature and Republican politics that would at least be fair to Jim Black. I have also been in both "parties" so I know all the bad guys are not in one party!!
