Don Beason's old office was at Powerhouse Square.
From 1999 to 2002, the Raleigh lobbyist worked out of Suite 230 in the historic brick building at 116 N. West St., according to archives of his professional Web site, which is now offline.
The building, now home to Napper Tandy's Irish pub and an architectural firm, was once the automotive garage for Carolina Power & Light, now known as Progress Energy.
It was converted for new uses by CP&L and Cary real estate developer Hamilton Merritt in 1998 and is owned by Powerhouse Square LLC, a partnership set up by the two.
Incidentally, Progress Energy was one of Beason's longtime clients.
