Another Miller replacement?

If U.S. Rep. Brad Miller runs for the Senate, who will replace him?

As we've previously noted, State Sen. Janet Cowell is one possibility. Another is Sen. Kay Hagan, a Greensboro Democrat now in her fifth term.

Hagan doesn't live in the 13th Congressional District either. (She's in the neighboring sixth.) But again, that's not a legal requirement.

An attorney and former banker, Hagan currently co-chairs the powerful Senate Appropriations committee. Her name had also recently circulated as a potential U.S. Senate candidate.

So, would she be interested in running for the U.S. House?

"I have no comment," she told Lynn Bonner today.
