If U.S. Rep. Brad Miller runs for the Senate, who will replace him?
As we've previously noted, State Sen. Janet Cowell is one possibility. Another is Sen. Kay Hagan, a Greensboro Democrat now in her fifth term.
Hagan doesn't live in the 13th Congressional District either. (She's in the neighboring sixth.) But again, that's not a legal requirement.
An attorney and former banker, Hagan currently co-chairs the powerful Senate Appropriations committee. Her name had also recently circulated as a potential U.S. Senate candidate.
So, would she be interested in running for the U.S. House?
"I have no comment," she told Lynn Bonner today.
